 This
is the TIE interceptor, it is one of my favourite starwars craft, it's
really good in the TIE fighter game and it looks dammed aggressive.
This model of the interceptor is the AMT snap model and as such I wouldn't normally touch it with a 20 ft barge pole, however it is the only TIE interceptor model out there (until a godlike 1/72 scale one was released by finemolds, an awesome japanese model company). The kit went together mostly as per the instructions however I used glue and added detail where appropriate such as the pilot. The pilot is the standard pilot minus head with a remodelled citadel space marine's head on it. although the model is technically finished I still could add a bit more detail so maybe one day I will up date the pictures if I update the model. To paint it I used tamiya acrylics and some citadel paints as AMT didn't say what colour to paint it I mixed up something that looked like the box art and it looks ok. I've added new photos to this page which look better than the last efforts. By the way the heading is off the X-wing vs TIE figher box with writing added. |
