De Havilland Mosquito

While in hobby place (in melbourne australia) one day I was eyeing off the wide variety of models stacked up to the ceiling. A limited edition revel 1/32 scale beaufighter with photoeched cockpit caught my eye but being a stingy bastard I opted for a slightly cheaper revel 1/32 scale mosquito without the special edition. Boy was I stupid I ended up despairing of the mosquito and buying the beaufighter anyway. However on getting the beaufighter home I again looked at the mosquito and began to see possibilities in it. I dredged up an old magazine that was lying around my room with a article about mosquitos in it and did some research. I finally came to the conclusion that I should build the prototype night fighter as it was all black (an easy spray paint job) and there was no bomb aimers position in the nose, which in the revell model has so little detail in it you wonder what they thinking because other bits of the plane are quite well detailed apart from raised panel lines.

This is a picture of a NF.II which can give you an idea of what the model will look like until the model is completed.
