This is the first car model I've ever built and in the mammoth
1/12 scale has quite a presence (also quite a cost). I made this model for my
dad as a christmas present because he's been slightly obsessed with bentleys for
a long time but mum wont let him buy as real one. As far as I can see he has reason
to be obsessed the 4.5 litre bentley which, although looking like a truck by today's
standards was a fearsome racing machine in its day winning le mans four times
and comming 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th to a 6.5 litre the last time that a bentley
won le mans. The 6.5 litre "blue train" special is an altogether more fearsome
car and I may make myself one some day.
