FENCERS MASK
 This
is my development sketch for the piece. If you could read the writing up
the top of the picture you would no doubt wonder why it's called fencers
mask rather than power slide as that's what the writing says. The reason
is that originally the picture was going to be of the mech sort of sliding
along in the crouch doing a kind of anti roadblock, tank, house, bunker,
demolition move however once I started working out what the mech would look
like I decided that wouldn't really work as the feet were sort of wrong
and it couldn't really do a slide in this pose so I decided to do away with
the slide and just do the picture. As you can see from the sketch the bit
I had most trouble with (there are the most different sketches of it) was
the head. Some designs I erased but I went through ten before I got inspired
by the eldar dreadnought. |
Here's
the real thing. There may be a background soon as it is easy to add one
in photoshop. If you use 800 x 600 resolution you can make IE 5.0 go full
screen with F11 and minimize the tool bars in Netscape 4.x with the buttons
on the left ends, this will let you see more of the picture.  |
